Professional Resource Center

Our Cogswell Resource Center provides training for hundreds of professionals from across the state every year, including social workers, recreational therapists, mental health workers, nursing and nursing home staff, home health workers, police officers and others who work with the elderly. Our professional services include:

• Educational programs -- a range of dementia care training programs to aid professionals and paraprofessionals in understanding the disease and gaining the tools to help them provide better care for patients and families
• An Alzheimer's-specific library
• Information on obtaining New York State Dementia Grants
• Our Alzheimer's resources link directory
• Tours -- for professional caregivers, including healthcare workers, community service professionals, public officials and students
