Prerequisite Requirements

APPLICANTS to the ASSOCIATES DEGREE PROGRAM (RN)

Prerequisite Courses at High School or College Level Required:  •  Algebra  •  Biology (must include lab component)  • Chemistry(must include lab component)        

Prerequisite Course at High School or College Level Require the following Grades:

High school level courses require minimum score/grade of 75

Non-credit bearing college level math and science courses require minimum grade of B

Credit bearing college level math and science courses require minimum grade of C

RN applicants must also take the ATI - Test of Essential Academic Skills Examination (TEAS).  After paying the application fee, applicants should contact their school’s main office (Memorial: 518-471-3260; Samaritan: 518-271-3285)  for instructions on scheduling the exam through PSI.

Program offered at Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing only

Prerequisite Course in High School or College Level Algebra required, with minimum score of 70/C.
