Technology in Action

Every apartment at The Glen at Hiland Meadows has been pre-wired for telephone, cable and high-speed internet access. The Glen at Hiland Meadows provides each resident with a personalized e-mail account.

Our technical staff installs the computer equipment and connection for internet access. Our computer aide and social coordinator are available for non-urgent basic computer support. Resident computer training classes are offered free of charge.

The Glen at Hiland Meadows has a Resident Portal (intranet) which provides residents with online, easy access to community information and direct links to newspapers, weather, shopping and other sites of interest. Residents can also use the Resident Portal to submit a variety of electronic requests including maintenance, transportation and guest suite reservations. Other information posted to the intranet includes monthly dining and event calendars, meeting minutes from resident gatherings and the Resident Council.

The Glen at Hiland Meadows has an in-house broadcasting channel. This channel is used to broadcast movies and information on upcoming and routine events, resident meeting dates, Administrative notices and other miscellaneous information pertinent to the community.
