The Inpatient Stroke Program at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is proud of its clinical outcomes. In 2012, 536 individuals with stroke were served. Realizing it is important to our patients to return home with their loved ones as soon as possible, the average length of stay for our patients was 17.5 days which compares very favorably with other inpatient stroke rehabilitation programs in the nation and the region. The average number of therapy hours per day for stroke patients was 3.76.
Over the years, Sunnyview has consistently discharged a greater percentage of individuals with stroke back to their home and community. This was also true during 2012 when 63.4 percent of patients returned home to continue their lives. That is 5 percent greater than other inpatient stroke rehabilitation facilities in the region.
