In 2012, the center served 79 individuals with spinal cord injuries, with an average length of stay of 18.7 days which compares very favorably with other inpatient spinal cord injury rehabilitation programs in the nation and the region.
Over the years, Sunnyview has consistently discharged a greater percentage of individuals with spinal cord injury back to their homes and community. During 2012, 73 percent of patients returned home to continue their lives, 6 percent greater than other inpatient spinal cord injury rehabilitation facilities in the region. The average number of therapy hours per day for patients with spinal cord injuries was 3.35.
