Spinal Cord Injury Program

Spinal cord injuries are a leading cause of disability in children and adults. Individuals may lose functioning in all four extremities (quadriplegia) or in the legs only (paraplegia).

The severity of the injury determines the type of rehabilitation needed. Yet, whatever the severity of the injury, Sunnyview is there to help the injured patient achieve the highest level of functioning and independence possible.

Each patient's individualized treatment plan consists of a vast array of rehabilitation services, including specialty services designed specifically for the patient with a spinal cord injury:

• iBot 4000 Wheeled Mobility System Evaluation and Training Center
• Strengthening and endurance training
• Swallowing/language evaluation

• Outpatient Neurological Center
• Specialized equipment, including the StimMaster bicycle
