Clinical Outcomes/Patient Satisfaction

Inpatient Cardiopulmonary Program Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction - 2013

The Inpatient Cardiopulmonary Program at Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital is proud of our clinical outcomes as well as our level of patient satisfaction.  In 2013, we served 241 cardiac patients and 338 pulmonary patients . Since we realize that it is important to our patients to return home with their loved ones as soon as possible, 84 percent of our cardiac patients returned back to their home and community. This compares very favorably with other inpatient cardiac rehabilitation programs in the nation and the region at 81 percent.

We are very proud of our Ventilator Weaning Program outcomes. Our vent patients' average length of stay was 29 days which compares very favorably with other inpatient ventilator weaning rehabilitation programs in the nation and the region. An astonishing 50 percent of our vent patients returned home, and 78 percent of our ventilator patients in 2013 were able to come off the ventilator!

The Inpatient Cardiopulmonary Program is proud that our patients and their families are pleased with our efforts as well.  The patient satisfaction surveys portray how our patients rate us on “Overall Patient Satisfaction”, and how they answered the question, “Would You Recommend This Facility?”  Although we want each and every one of our patients to be completely satisfied, we understand that not everyone will. Sunnyview Hospital served 338 Pulmonary Patients in 2013.

We are very proud of the fact that 98 percent of the pulmonary patients would recommend Sunnyview to family and friends. Sunnyview Hospital served 241 cardiopulmonary patients in 2013, of these patients 99 percent of would recommend Sunnyview to family and friends.
