Founded in 1928, Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Upstate New York, is a 115-bed hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation. Every year, more than 15,000 individuals come to Sunnyview from across the Capital Region of New York State and beyond. Each one has a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, therapists and specialists ... all focused on one goal ... taking back what was stolen by a stroke, traumatic injury or disabling illness.

Nationally recognized as a leader in neurological patient care, Sunnyview's Neuro-Rehab Institute treats patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Sunnyview's expert staff is devoted to enhancing the delivery of personalized, comprehensive state-of-the-art rehabilitation treatment through coordinated patient care, education, research and outreach activities. Our integrated and intensely tailored approach is supported by technologies at the forefront of modern science.
We're proud that 85* percent of our inpatients return to their homes following discharge, compared to 72 percent from other facilities in the region.

From humble beginnings to a state-of-the-art hospital.
Sunnyview has come a long way in 80 years, from a 10-bed home for disabled children to a prestigious rehabilitation hospital nationally recognized and accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation has been received for the Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP), Brain Injury and Stroke Specialty Programs.
