Rehabilitation is among the most complex and specialized fields in all of medicine. This means where you go for rehabilitation, and who provides it, make a critical difference.
Welcome to Sunnyview.
Founded in 1928, Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Upstate New York, is a 115-bed hospital specializing in physical rehabilitation. Every year, more than 15,000 individuals come to Sunnyview from across the Capital Region of New York State and beyond. Each one has a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, therapists and specialists ... all focused on one goal ... taking back what was stolen by a stroke, traumatic injury or disabling illness.
What sets Sunnyview apart?
Nationally recognized as a leader in neurological patient care, Sunnyview's Neuro-Rehab Institute treats patients with a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury. Sunnyview's expert staff is devoted to enhancing the delivery of personalized, comprehensive state-of-the-art rehabilitation treatment through coordinated patient care, education, research and outreach activities. Our integrated and intensely tailored approach is supported by technologies at the forefront of modern science.
Our approach is individual and unique.
Because no two patients -- regardless of diagnosis -- are the same. Sunnyview staff members work as a team to evaluate and treat each patient as an individual. The result is often a bond between patients, therapists, medical and psychological professionals, as well as family members. A bond that frequently plays a critical role in helping the patient regain independence.

From humble beginnings to a state-of-the-art hospital.
Sunnyview has come a long way in 80 years, from a 10-bed home for disabled children to a prestigious rehabilitation hospital nationally recognized and accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF accreditation has been received for the Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (CIIRP), Brain Injury and Stroke Specialty Programs.
We're proud of our rich history ... and the role we play in the healing process. Our patients come to us when they need us most. And, our concerned and compassionate staff is there with up-to-the-minute treatment modalities and cutting-edge technology.
And, most of all ... hope.
We support price transparency. For our patients to understand their potential financial liability for hospital services, we are making our hospital charges available to patients. Hospital charges vary based on the type of care provided. The price can differ from patient to patient for the same services. The price will be different for complications or different treatment for the patient's personal health condition. Patients also may qualify for financial assistance. For a price estimate, please submit your request via email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
