* chronic obstructive pulmonary conditions
* complications from surgery
* other conditions

Speech/language/communication disorders
Individuals receive a thorough evaluation and individualized treatment plan. We work closely with family members, friends and others to help the individual regain his/her speech and language function, improve communication with others, and identify strategies to make reading, writing, speaking and understanding easier.

Swallowing disorders
Our comprehensive evaluation includes a clinical assessment, and if needed, a videofluoroscopic swallowing evaluation. An individualized treatment plan is developed so that the patient can learn to eat and drink safely. The care plan may involve referrals to other medical professionals and/or treatments. Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation and EMG Biofeedback are used when applicable.

Services are provided by NYS licensed and American Speech and Hearing Association certified speech-language pathologists.
