At Albany Memorial Hospital and Northeast Health Imaging Center in East Greenbush our radiologists are committed to insuring that the reading and interpretation of each imaging study is accurate.
As part of our commitment to quality, radiologists at both imaging centers conduct regular peer reviews of selected imaging studies. This means that a percentage of our imaging studies are actually reviewed twice. This process enables our radiologists to track and trend discrepancies in interpretations and continually incorporate best practices into their interpretations and recommendations.
This peer review process is not something new, in fact, our radiologists have been collecting and analyzing their mammography readings for more than nine years. This allows them to compare performance on the identification of early lesions. It's just one facet of our ongoing commitment to providing high quality imaging services for you and your family.
