Healthy Kids

Challenged with the responsibilities of raising children? Healthy Kids, a joint endeavor of Samaritan Hospital and Rensselaer County Department of Social Services, is a unique home visitation program. The program is voluntary and free to participants.

Family support workers provide a range of services, including:

• childbirth education
• infant care and child development
• family planning options
• assistance with obtaining transportation
• meal planning
• referral to community agencies.

The program serves residents throughout Rensselaer County with offices in Troy, Hoosick Falls and Castleton.
