TROY, NY – July 2, 2013 – Barbara McHale, RN, BS, OCN, CBCN, patient navigator for the Cancer Treatment Center at Samaritan Hospital, has been invited to serve as a faculty member for the Academy of Oncology Nurse Navigators (AONN) at the Fourth Annual AONN Conference in Memphis, Tennessee, November 15-17.
As a faculty member, McHale will give present on navigation research during the pre-conference session as well as participate in the navigator round tables. She will also participate in a video interview and give a presentation on a new oncology rehabilitation therapy program that is currently being piloted at Samaritan Hospital.
McHale was recently recognized by the Capital Region Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB) with its 2013 “Power Up the Pink Award” for her outstanding care and commitment to breast cancer patients in the community. A resident of Ballston Spa, McHale has been with Samaritan Hospital since 2006.
